12 Tips on How to Lose Weight Fast


Most everyone wants to lose weight fast. It can be easier to get rid of fat just by following the tips below. The key is to pay attention to what you do each day towards achieving your goals of losing weight.
Always have a good selection of healthy foods on hand such as fruits and vegetables, to snack on. Make sure your produce is fresh and shop every few days rather than stocking up on food. This will help to keep your food from spoiling before you get a chance to eat it. Don't waste your money throwing away spoiled food.
Are you ready to lose your first 10 pounds, or perhaps you are working on losing your last 10 pounds...no matter where you are at in your diet, setting up these healthy habits will definitely help.



  1. Get to know your eating patterns, write down what you eat and drink on a daily basis. No, this will not be something you will have to do forever, just focus on doing it for 30 days. Once you can see your eating patterns and understand them better it will be easier for you to make healthy food choices.

  2. Get into the habit of using half of what you would normally use to butter your bread, or put salad dressing on your salad. Cut down the usual amount you would use for oil in the frying pan. Cut down on your food portions.

  3. Set one day a week for treats you must have like chocolate, cookies, cake, ice cream and other desserts. For the rest of the week satisfy that craving with diet candy, my favorite is the diet toffee and it tastes great. 5 pieces = 70 calories.

  4. Learn to have protein sources for most of your meals that have a lower fat content. Chicken and fish, beans and cottage cheese, and also yogurt are good choices. Also don't forget to have red meat in your diet but not as often. I love to have eggs and nuts as protein as well, but only a few times a week. It's very important to balance your diet with healthy choices.

  5. Increase your fiber with whole grains, beans and lots of vegetables.

  6. Buy dairy products that are lower in fat content. Reduce your dairy products to 2% or 1% or, if you can do it go to skim milk.

  7. Eat fruits regularly for after meal desserts, at snack times and a few hours after supper to keep yourself from becoming hungry.

  8. Substitute soda drinks for water. Squeeze some lemon in your water to give it a refreshing taste. Drink your 8 glasses of water, your body needs it.

  9. If you are feeling hungry, eat more vegetables to fill yourself up.

  10. Choose foods that need to be chewed as they will fill you up more, an example of this would be soup...instead of cream of celery, choose a chunky soup. Another example would be to eat fruit to fill up instead of having fruit juice.

  11. When you are hungry you tend to choose high calorie foods, so never go shopping for food if you are hungry. Make a list beforehand and stick to it.

  12. Eat all of your meals at the kitchen table and make it enjoyable. Soft lights, music, no distractions like watching T.V. Learn to taste and enjoy your food.

If you follow all of these simple tips they may be able to help you to lose weight fast. At the very least they will get you on the right track.
